A mere five suites wide, the Istana still retains some resort-sized attractions: clifftop location, restaurant-standard meals, chauffeured car, coral-studded lagoon, army-sized staff and among the top five surfing surfing beaches in the world.  

A mere 10-minute walk to Uluwatu Beach in south Bali, the Istana contains some impressively sized and teakwood-heavy bedrooms; indeed, the master bedroom has its own sundeck, kitchenette and black volcanic stone swimming pool.  Ocean suites are beachside, while garden suites … you get the picture. All are dotted with local handicrafts, and include outdoor sunken bathtubs.

The dining room features a large table carved from one piece of teakwood that is able to seat 10. Outside, not one, but two pools are available for soaking; a bar gives you a perfect vantage point to watch the sun go down. Even better, there is no need to make a reservation.

Payments & Cancellations
a) The full rental amount must be received by Retreat East within three (3) working days after confirmation of reservation has been given.
 
b) For last minute bookings (within 1 week or less prior to arrival), full payment upon arrival in cash is acceptable. But a credit card authorization will need to be taken.

c) If the reservation is cancelled 61 days or more prior to arrival (91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings). 50% of the booking will be forfeited. In the event a reservation is cancelled less than 45 days prior to arrival (or 61 days for Christmas/New Year bookings) the full booking will be forfeited and is non refundable.

d) Notice of cancellation must be received by Retreat East by email or fax.
 
e) Be aware that all clients at Retreat East villas who agree to the terms and conditions, Retreat East will have credit card authorization which will allow Retreat East to charge the card for damages and any additional charges that the clients incur whilst at the villa.  If for any reason that credit card transaction is refused by the bank and/or damages incurred by the client exceed that amount legal action will be taken.

Changes To Bookings
A US$50.00 administration fee will apply to each change after a booking has been confirmed.
Changes cannot necessarily be accommodated in all cases.
