About the Retreat

Otherwise known as “The Beji,” this six-bedroomer has it all: a beach, a river, even some neighboring rice terraces. A 27-meter pool, ponds, a mind-boggling 10 single-storey pavilions, gardens, gym and tennis court round out the 40-acre property, in the process defining what “having it all” truly means.

Named after a sacred spring, design is what could be described as “Epcot Center chic”, with white walls, plenty of light, ironwood shingle roofs, and manicured lawns. Décor inside is graphically minimalist, with lots of streamlined furniture that looks expensive. Bedrooms all come with their own decks, dressing rooms and bathrooms, have teakwood floors, and canopied four-poster beds.

In the dining room, a massive teakwood table, capable of seating up to 18 people, dominates, jazzed up on one side of the room by a pond. Even better, the Villa di Beji sits just next door, able to accommodate an overflow of guests when the need arises.

Location & How to get there

The Beji is hidden away in the Balinese village of Berawa, one kilometre from the beach, near Canggu. The rice field setting offers the double attraction of being close to everything that guests might need, while also presenting a fascinating insight into the traditions of rural Bali.

The beach is renowned for its legendary sunsets and world-class surf breaks, and the neighbouring Seminyak area presents an exciting nightlife, together with an abundance of trendy boutiques, luxurious spas, and internationally acclaimed restaurants – including the well-known ‘Ku Dé Ta’, ‘Kafé Warisan’, ‘Living Room’, ‘Hu’u’ and ‘La Lucciola’.

The villa is a mere 30 minutes' drive from the international airport, and convenient for all of the main tourist attractions and shopping malls. Easily accessible sporting amenities include the ‘Nirwana Bali Golf Course’, which was designed by Greg Norman and voted the number one golf course in Indonesia, and the neighbouring ‘Canggu Club’, offering sports, social and leisure amenities. For horse lovers, the ‘Umalas Equestrian Centre’ is just five minutes away.

Payments & Cancellations
a) The full rental amount must be received by Retreat East within three (3) working days after confirmation of reservation has been given.

b) For last minute bookings (within 1 week or less prior to arrival), full payment upon arrival in cash is acceptable. But a credit card authorization will need to be taken.

c) If the reservation is cancelled 61 days or more prior to arrival (91 days for Christmas/New Year bookings). 50% of the booking will be forfeited. In the event a reservation is cancelled less than 45 days prior to arrival (or 61 days for Christmas/New Year bookings) the full booking will be forfeited and is non refundable.

d) Notice of cancellation must be received by Retreat East by email or fax.

e) Be aware that all clients at Retreat East villas who agree to the terms and conditions, Retreat East will have credit card authorization which will allow Retreat East to charge the card for damages and any additional charges that the clients incur whilst at the villa. If for any reason that credit card transaction is refused by the bank and/or damages incurred by the client exceed that amount legal action will be taken.

Changes To Bookings
A US$50.00 administration fee will apply to each change after a booking has been confirmed.
Changes cannot necessarily be accommodated in all cases.
